In a short few weeks, with the calendar flipped to November, the first anniversary for Of Snow Forts and Santa will enter the universe. This Christmas novella was in the works for a couple of years before I finished it with a flurry of edits and re-writes in late October and November of 2019.
Over the past year, I haven't done a whole lot to market the book. Sure, occasional tweets and Facebook posts were shared, but I was doing my best not to inundate friends, family, and more with holiday nostalgia year around. (Even though I know there are people out there who enjoy the markings of Christmas year-round, myself included.)
Now that we are again approaching the 2020 holiday season, it's time to remind the world of this novella. The target audience is ages 10 and older, as summarized in this review from Edie Dickenson:
"The audience will be elementary and middle school children. But this seventy-year-old grandma thoroughly enjoyed "Of Snow Forts and Santa." It took me back to my childhood in Iowa with our love of Santa and snow forts. And, of course, the cliques in school. But the fast-paced plot also has more serious issues that will pull at your heartstrings. I am so glad that I waited until Christmas to read this!"
Over the next couple of months, be on the lookout for various promotions and giveaways, included chances to win your choice of an autographed copy of one of my books. Of Snow Forts and Santa is currently available to purchase via Amazon in both paperback and e-book.
Feel free to share this post or any social media posts you see about this book. As a one-person marketing machine, I am eternally grateful for not only the purchase of books but for spreading the word when you can. Reviews and ratings are also very helpful, if you have the opportunity to do such a thing. Aside from Amazon, information about the book is available on Goodreads, where you can leave ratings and reviews as well.
On a related note, The Dragon Princess and book one in "The Magic of Crieo" series, The Blue Gem, are also available to purchase on Amazon. These two books are fantasy novels and the follow-up to The Blue Gem will hopefully be arriving sometime in 2021. (How very George R.R. Martin of me, I know, to keep delaying books.) Work on this third fantasy novel has picked up as of late and, barring any huge setbacks, should be released next year. Be sure to follow along for updates and more.
Thank you all for your support and stopping by. Stay safe out there.
Be bold. Be kind.
